Open XC Championship
The club’s premiere event is the Delaware Open Cross Country Championship. These races are held the Saturday morning after Thanksgiving at Brandywine Creek State Park. This event is arguably the most competitive open running event in the state of Delaware. Cash prizes are awarded to winners of age beyond academic eligibility. Other winners receive trophies and gift certificates. The races consist of the following events:
- 1.1 mile Boys
- 1.1 mile Girls
- 5 km Women’s Open and Masters (scored separately, run concurrently)
- 5 km Men’s Masters
- 5 km Men’s Open
